Rogue Warrior

So i played this new game Rogue Warrior on PlayStation 3.

Handles a lot like Splinter cell meets call of duty. And YES Mickey Rourke voices the main character Dick Marcinko who was the founder of Seal Team 6 and the game is based on the novel he wrote about his experiences.

So with all that said is it a buy or rent?

The game contains numerous trophy or for the xbox folks achievements. The game play is gritty, hard and sometimes humorous. There are moments that seem to get stale, as in the repeatedly same stealth kills, but overall this game is a blast. Mickey Rourke's swearing aside the humor involved is actually amusing and the levels are gamer worthy in difficulty. Would I rake out the 60 to buy it... not unless you are obsessive over the replay. I would rent and if you get addicted then by all means BUY THIS GAME.

Review: Ratchet and Clank Future Crack in Time

So far I have not found too many games that are kidsy action types that are actually made well enough for adults to play.

The Mold has been broken with the new Ratchet and Clank.
It is addictive, funny, difficult and downright amazingly crafted. I have to give credit where credit is due and say that i have never had the nerve to pick up a Ratchet game until this latest installment. The Timeshifting section can get tedious but are very well executed. My favorite section is the levels of flight with ratchet that allow for an asteroids like feel and the smaller planets you can explore in the mold of super mario galaxy.

If you like action games and love humor this game is for you. The only part that i found tedious is the repelling arm which allows ratchet to swing into unreachable areas. Can get a little touchy on those small orbital levels.

Gamer Points vs. Trophies

Welcome to the new and improved blog.

As you all know, if you're like me anyway, Xbox has its gamer points/score and Sony has its wonderful trophy system.

Here is why i think they both suck. First of all if you are accumulating a score or trophy tally why not allow gamers to cash in trophies or scores to earn free stuff? Would be logical progression from the old school tickets you would get in arcades back in the day. Only don't be quite so lame about it and give stuff gamers actually want.

All I am saying is: Sony/Microsoft you make millions off of us gamers, give back just a little and i guarantee you will see more from us.
