Diablo III

Greetings fellow gamers! It's been a while since my last review and I plan on catching up on the vast number of games I have been playing in the next several days. But for now... What I believe to be the best PC Gaming Launch in the last 10 years. (Yes It outshines WoW. BY FAR) Diablo III I did purchase the collectors edition bundle. If you can't go big, go home right? Midnight launch was awesome at Gamestop. They also gave out a poster with the game. The biggest downfall I feel that the game has is the need for an internet connection to play. All characters are stored on a Battle.net account. This means you are required to sign in to Battle.net to play a single player experience. Here is where Blizzard had a major issue on launch night. Everyone on the East Coast who purchased their games at midnight EST ran home to play only to find out they could not until the server went live at midnight PST or 3am. Then when finally able to play, a major game glitch was found withing the first 8 hours which took the servers down at least 3 times for about 4 hours a piece. Aside from the major network issues with single player experience, I have to say I'm ADDICTED. I started by playing the weirdest character I could, The witch doctor. I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the fact that you no longer have to click on gold as it drops and the new healing orb drops makes boss battles so much easier to manage. That being said, the game is not easy. Game play is as fast paced as ever and the first time you get swarmed by monsters in a very vivid dungeon you will panic. The rune system and orb system makes the characters extremely customizable. I am eagerly awaiting to see how the real money auction houses work as the current system is only gold based and weirdly inactive. Also the Hireling system has changed and now they are more NPC's with a great story and personality. They are also able to be customized from weapons to skills. All in all a huge way to make every experience different for every player. Overall I give the game 5 out of 5 gonzos Battle.net multi-player experience I give 2 out of 5 gonzos with hope for improvement. Be well and P0wn some Newb's Ryan
